Looking at a George Condo image, you can spot a wide range of inspirations, from Cubist masters to Looney Tunes. He was a pillar of the Eighties art scene and a peer and close friend of icons like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. The New Museum is featuring his Mental States exhibit now through May 8th. Condo calls this culmination of 30 years of work a “conceptual survey.” We call it “must see.”
