“We updated our Sawyer bag in different proportions and embellishments. We also did a lot of soft, leather men’s briefcases. One has the first stanza of my favorite poem, Ithaka by C. P. Cavafy, printed on the side. It’s a very meaningful poem in my family — it’s all about the journey — and we always read it at different points in our lives. Another style was inspired by a cigar bag my dad carried. We always called it his man-purse. We did a version of it and added a gold chain. I think he’d love it.”
