The collection’s shoes played it two ways – continuing to layer in the men’s shoe details of seasons past, contrasted with ladylike pumps and embellished low heels.
ALL FOR KNOT
This collection introduced the Bunny Knot, a detail inspired by a quilted cushion that Tory found in her Antigua home, originally owned by the iconic Bunny Mellon. The simple crisscross knot was transformed into gleaming, angular hardware on high-vamp heels and loafer-like flats.
THE NEW BOOT
A new must-have; the season’s flat boot is a pull-on with a folded top and a refined square toe that echoes a classic men’s loafer. A cut-out flat was based on the same shape with slim monk-style straps with elegant oval buckles.
WELL HEELED
Tory played with the proportions of the archetypal pump adding rounded volume to the toe, balanced by a straight and slender heel. Low-heels with a slim ankle strap underlined the subtle 1920s’ sensibility of cocooning coats and drop-waist dresses; a velvet version featured a lush embroidery of pearls and gold badla.
