“Conceptual and controlled.” That’s how hairstylist Guido Palau described the sleek styles he and his team created for Fall/Winter 2022. They achieve the look of lacquered hair wrapped smoothly around models’ heads with a single product: L’Oréal’s Elnett Hairspray. Reflecting the study of contrasts on the runway, the hair too had a dual nature, said Palau. Sculptural and modern with a faint echo of the 1930s.
As a counterpoint to the striking hair, makeup artist Diane Kendal opted for an understated look. Her goal, said Kendal backstage was “gorgeous, luminous skin.” She and her team began with a base of NarsSkin Light Reflecting Moisturizer and Foundation with a touch of Nars Copacabana on the cheekbones. Lastly, a dusting of Nars Light Reflecting Setting Powder. Well, almost last. A nod to the individuality celebrated on the runway, Kendal gave a handful of models a bold red pout with Nars Dragongirl Velvet Matte pencil.
