Korea Furniture Museum Visit
Whenever Tory travels, she always makes time to take in some local art and culture. In Seoul, that stop was at the famed Korea Furniture Museum, which features over 2,000 handcrafted designs — all wood, from persimmon to pine — dating back five centuries to the Joseon Dynasty. The museum itself is its own work of art, too — it’s a charming complex of 10 hanoks (traditional Korean houses) surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden.
한국 가구 박물관 방문
Tory는 여행할 때 마다 현지 아트와 문화를 체험하는 시간을 갖습니다. 서울에서 Tory는 2000개가 넘는 수공예품으로 유명한 한국 가구 박물관에 방문했습니다. 수공예품들은 감나무부터 소나무까지 모든 종류의 나무로 만들어졌으며, 5세기 전 조선시대에 사용되었던 것입니다. 박물관은 그 자체로 예술이기도 합니다. 이 곳은 아름답게 조경 된 정원으로 둘러싸인 10채의 한옥 (전통적인 한국 주거공간)이 매력적입니다.
Ewha Womans University Talk
On Tuesday morning, Tory gave a talk at Ewha Womans University, the largest women’s college in the world. She shared her entrepreneurial journey and — with International Women’s Day around the corner — opened up about the Tory Burch Foundation’s #EmbraceAmbition campaign and how important it is for women to pursue their ambitions, no holds barred. The inspiration, she revealed, came from her own personal experience as a woman in business — and the realization that there’s often a double standard that exists around the word “ambition,” which is often seen as a positive in men, and a negative in women.

Last but not least: the Cheongdam-dong store festivities! DJ Nam Tae Hyun hit the proverbial turntables while rapper Jang Da-hye (A.K.A. Heize) stirred things up with an electrifying performance to a packed audience, including actress Oh Yeon-seo, singers Lee Sun-mi and Son Na-eun and models Ji Hye Park and Ji Young Kwak. It was a touch of New York in the heart of Seoul – complete with Stateside cocktail classics, from margaritas to one of Tory’s favorite drinks, the Southside.

마지막으로 대망의 청담동 플래그십스토어 축제! DJ 남태현은 턴테이블을 맡았고Heize로 알려진 래퍼 장다혜가 오연서, 가수 선미, 손 나은, 그리고 모델 박지혜, 곽지영을 포함한 많은 관중들 앞에서 열렬한 공연을 펼쳤고 분위기를 뜨겁게 달궜습니다.마가리타부터 토리가 좋아하는 음료 중 하나 인 Southside까지 Stateside의 칵테일 클래식이 준비되어 서울 중심에 있는 뉴욕의 분위기였습니다.
