“This season, we did two silhouettes: a round-toe pump and boot with bauble details, and flats and heels with a big bow that reflects the bow blouses. The prints you see — the plaid flats, for example — are carried over from the clothing. I like the patterns paired together, like a plaid flat with a plaid pant. We experimented with flats, pairing them with skinny pants, short skirts, long evening dresses… I think that’s super modern. I really love boots with skirts that hit at the knee. There’s not too much skin — just a sliver — in between the boot and where the skirt starts. It’s more elegant where it’s not a super-short silhouette with a high boot.” —Tory Burch
