We interview the beauty experts on the look behind our runway show, which includes, for the first time, makeup by Jessica Alba’s Honest Beauty line.

Diane Kendal

The Inspiration
East Coast meets West Coast, a bit bohemian.

The Look
Really fresh, natural and soft.

The Skin
Apply a light layer of Honest Beauty’s Honestly Luminizing Liquid Foundation.

The Eyes
Swipe the lash line with Honest Beauty’s True Velvet Eyeliner in Cocoa and blend it softly outward with a small brush. Then add a light coat of Honest Beauty’s Truly Lush Mascara + Primer in Black Mirror to the outer corners of the top lashes. Brush the eyebrows and lightly apply Honest Beauty’s Brow Filler for definition.

The Cheeks
We did a faux freckle for a Seventies, natural vibe. Dot Honest Beauty’s True Velvet Eyeliner in Cocoa across the cheeks and nose, and pat it so it fades into the skin. Then smile and blend Honest Beauty’s Crème Blush in Truly Teasing onto the cheekbones for a soft, dewy look.

The Lip
For a matte nude lip, apply Honest Beauty’s Truly Kissable Lip Crayon in Honey Kiss. Use a finger to blend it in.

The Finishing Touch
Apply a little Magic Balm — one of Jessica’s favorites — to the eyes, cheeks and lips to complete the look.

Which personality are you: East Coast or West Coast?
Neither — I’m English!

Kim D’Amato for Priti NYC

The Inspiration
Ali MacGraw in the Seventies — clean, polished, classy.

The Look
Beachy, sheer, natural. We created a color specifically for the show called Tawny Daylily. It has a tiny tinge of color, so it’s really clean looking but also super-glossy.

The Steps
Start with short, clean nails. Apply a base coat, two coats of Tawny Daylily and a top coat. The color will show through with two coats, but if you want a sheer look, just use one coat.

The Shape
A squoval — a square oval.

Which personality are you: East Coast or West Coast?
I’m Australian, so I have that West Coast–type behavior: very relaxed, very chill. You don’t need to get dressed up to go to the beach!
