DANIELLE STRIPE-BACK TUNIC
Color:The warrior-chic inspiration of our fall runway takes an eclectic turn on the Danielle Stripe-Back Tunic. Made of merino wool, with a solid front, it has an unexpected back view: tufted eyelash yarns and metallic-foiled threads — reinterpreting plates of antique armor and putting a burnished spin on stripes. Its shape is subtly inspired by the tunics worn beneath knights’ uniforms, complete with a gorget-style neckline and hood for a tomboyish look. Textured with tinsel-like shine, it reworks an oversized knit into a gilded statement piece.
Simple in the front and striking in the back. Wear this tunic with dark, slim pants and boots — the striped back will really pop. Or make more of a statement and pair it with the coordinating skirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LicoriceWhippet Danielle Stripe-Back Tunic with Hood is a Favorite First, a note of thanks for both Live Chat customer service ladies Emily and April. Emily recommended this piece (which I never would have had the vision to find myself), and April said it was one of her favorites when I mentioned I'd ordered it and it was on the way during a different Live Chat connection. Thank you ladies! As to the Danielle Stripe-Back Tunic, this is one of those pieces that look so much better in person than on my computer screen. I absolutely adore it. The front is extremely soft, thick and warm, and the back is the most interesting, and to my surprise, flattering assortment of horizontal stripes. I had the preconceived notion that it could make me look quite big in back, but it does just the opposite. The stripes are placed with a lot of thought and the colors are unusual and flattering. I found on myself, the most flattering surprise was having a band of color sitting right at my waist. I had ordered the Large and Medium and the Large fit better than the Medium in length, and it happened to have a gold stripe sitting exactly at my waist, giving the illusion of pulling my waist in.. I was pretty pleased because the Large gave me plenty of room to put a long-sleeved t-shirt under this piece because a piece like the Danielle Tunic just feels like an "outer layer" to me. I have and hourglass figure and was pleased the Danielle Tunic didn't distract from that. Keeping that hourglass shape can be hard for horizontal stripes to pull off. The hood is perfect to keep my long hair from flying all over in windy weather. Unlike some clothing with hoods, in this soft Tunic, I don't even notice it has a hood unless I want to use it. The length is fabulous in the body and sleeves (I am 5'11" and slender with long limbs). Not surprisingly, the Large was longer than the Medium, and I preferred that for my height. This is an over-sized piece, but not a hugely over-sized piece. The right size looks great and is perfect for something underneath like the long sleeved t-shirt I've mentioned. I really found it helpful to look at the stripe placement in the back helpful when both sizes were on. I have to say the more I wear the Danielle Tunic the more I love it. Definitely a beautiful piece of clothing that with care will last years. Quite a brilliant design, in my mind, and so fun and cozy to wear while being chic. December 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by KES35 Itchy threads in back! Very cute style, flattering elliptical hem that hit nice and long (I am 5'9") - neck is scrunched for a full and warm neck - definitely running oversize. (I am usually large - medium looked best.) BUT - very itchy where there are woven metallic threads in the back and the back of the arms. I usually prefer merino for the soft hand and it does not cause me to feel itchy - but this sweater was unbearable where the decorative threading was. Hope that helps. November 12, 2014
