If ever there was a magazine that could be considered an instant collector’s item, it is Cabana
, the design publication helmed by Martina Mondadori Sartogo that, to date, has only published six editions, but has captured the eye of design enthusiasts the world over with its distinctive covers featuring fabrics and wallpapers. Memorable issues include a red floral Gucci print, a butterfly-patterned Etro textile, and a parade of horses from the French fabric house Pierre Frey. Based in Milan, Cabana’s elegant and idiosyncratic European sensibility is its calling card — until its most recent edition, out November 12th, it had not featured an American brand on the cover. With nine saturated, exotic fabrics emblazoning the Fall/Winter 2016 issue, storied textile house Schumacher
will be the first. We’ve been poring over our issue, showcased in a painterly Indian Arbre print, but look out for more lush styles from Schumacher gracing the front page, including Chiang Mai Dragon, Zanzibar Linen, Lotus Garden and Pearl River.
