Earlier this year, Tory and her boys visited Myanmar — it was one of the most incredible experiences. On the trip, she kept a visual diary that we translated into our Road to Myanmar Pinterest board. Some highlights: seeing the ancient city of Bagan; sweeping the floors at Shwedagon Pagoda (a Buddhist tradition that ensures good luck), and floating down the Irrawaddy River. But the best moment was when Tory and the boys had the honor of meeting Aung San Suu Kyi, the Nobel Laureate who recently won a seat in the Burmese parliament after being under house arrest for 15 years. “She is one of the most extraordinary women I have ever met,” says Tory. “She never lost hope and is determined to create a democratic country.”
