Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nice to look at but not so nice to walk in I was so excited to receive these boots in the mail and thought after reading the review written by jtp10 that perhaps they just might fit right as I am 5"8. I am normally an 8 but had to go up a size in the boots. It's always good to allow for a bit of extra room with boots should you wear thick socks with them. The fit was perfect right up until I had to zip them up. I was able to just zip them up but after that it was just painful and uncomfortable because they were too tight around the calf. I had no choice but to return them sadly, because even if you allowed for some give, should the leather stretch, they would only stretch marginally and these simply were just too tight. A real real shame because they were lovely boots and looked great. December 1, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Beautiful but stiff and too tall These boots looked so beautiful when they came in the mail. I am 5'3", and immediately upon trying them on I could tell something was off. They are a very very stiff leather that makes them feel uncomfortable when walking. I felt sort of like I was walking in leather galoshes. In addition, they chopped me off at the knee. Because they were too tall and stiff it hurt to walk in them and they cut into me at the bottom of my knee and behind the knee. Unfortunately there was just no way I could keep them. I spoke with a very nice associate at a store who helped me find some replacement boots that would suit me and my stature better. In summary, I would not suggest these boots for anyone shorter than 5'5" or so. Also, you have to like the way a stiff leather boot feels or these will be uncomfortable to walk in (although I didn't wear them in so maybe they get more malleable after some time) and not mind that the zipper make a good bit of noise when hitting the harder leather. If these things are not issues for you they really are a very attractive and classic looking boot that seems like they could carry from year to year. October 14, 2012
